After having played for 16 minutes, Babbis Kazatzis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kalιnji's supporters crossed their fingers, but Babbis Kazatzis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Konstantinos Koutsospyros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stratos Pithagoras's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. A collision led to Karfás getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Fragiskos Ioannou hit a great ball. Stamatis Papazacharias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Charis Baloukos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 24 minute of play. When Stratos Pithagoras came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Karfás fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stratos Pithagoras couldn't finish the play. Konstantinos Koutsospyros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stratos Pithagoras's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stratos Pithagoras in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Konstantinos Koutsospyros saved Kalιnji from getting behind. With a little luck, Karfás's Stamatis Papazacharias got control of the ball when Zisis Xilas tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stratos Pithagoras in the 48th minute of play forced Kalιnji's goalkeeper Konstantinos Koutsospyros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stratos Pithagoras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Stratos Pithagoras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konstantinos Koutsospyros was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charis Baloukos in the 73rd minute of play forced Karfás's goalkeeper Stamatis Papazacharias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miltos Velidakis hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Stratos Pithagoras who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Konstantinos Koutsospyros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Zisis Xilas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kalιnji fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 81st match minute, Karfás was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giorgos Kouradakis to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Charis Baloukos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stamatis Papazacharias was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. 88 minutes into the match, Charis Baloukos notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Karfás's Stamatis Papazacharias. Stamatis Papazacharias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Karfás booed when Kalιnji was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantinos Koulouris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stratos Pithagoras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Konstantinos Koutsospyros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Themistoklis Kommatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Zisis Xilas notched a goal, 7-2, to the right of Karfás's Stamatis Papazacharias. Stamatis Papazacharias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kalιnji fans cheered their team off the field, for while Karfás had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
