Sαnga BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amado Mikeldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Alkaios Lazanas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nikitas Manousaridis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Omar Abdul Hakim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikitas Manousaridis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Omar Abdul Hakim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Káto Spílaion's goalkeeper Nikitas Manousaridis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amado Mikeldi. In the 51st minute, one of Káto Spílaion:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Káto Spílaion. After some careless play in the Káto Spílaion defense, Omar Abdul Hakim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikitas Manousaridis. The Káto Spílaion fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikitas Manousaridis should have stopped the shot. Per-Olof Thedin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Alketas Bourouselos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Omar Abdul Hakim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Vaclovas Apeikis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Abdul Hakim might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nikitas Manousaridis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
