After some careless play in the Sphinari defense, Kostas Kalantidis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christoforos Labellis. The Sphinari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christoforos Labellis should have stopped the shot. Christoforos Labellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoforos Papardelas, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 14 minutes, Alkis Skandalidis made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dikefalos's Sakis Velakos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Christoforos Papardelas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christoforos Labellis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Sphinari's Alkis Skandalidis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sakis Velakos. Sakis Velakos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Alkis Skandalidis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Sakis Velakos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christoforos Labellis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christos Androulakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andreas Tsebelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dikefalos's Sakis Velakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iakovos Grigorakos in the 44th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sakis Velakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniil Charisteas in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Daniil Charisteas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sphinari's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniil Charisteas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th match minute, Sphinari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkis Skandalidis to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Christoforos Labellis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sakis Velakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Vourkos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Alkis Skandalidis kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th match minute, Dikefalos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christos Androulakis to maneuver through the defense. Alkis Skandalidis scored 3-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sakis Velakos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Sphinari's goalkeeper Christoforos Labellis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christos Androulakis. 77 minutes into the match, Sphinari's goal looked a bit too open when Christos Androulakis came free, but Christoforos Labellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 85 minutes on the clock, Thanos Tsaousidis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. When Sphinari's Alkis Skandalidis in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dikefalos's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Sphinari players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
