ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Aimilios Mirtsos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostas Vourkos in the 3rd minute of play. Dimos Chatzis kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Filippos Makridakis got a free kick in the 8th minute. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Filippos Makridakis got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Filippos Makridakis charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filippos Makridakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Aimilios Mirtsos got control of the ball when Veniamin Dokos tried to sneak it across the goal line. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Aimilios Mirtsos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ from getting a goal against them. Aimilios Mirtsos was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Alkis Skandalidis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themos Kostikos in the 26th minute of play forced Sphinari's goalkeeper Christoforos Labellis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Filippos Makridakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoforos Labellis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's goalkeeper Aimilios Mirtsos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alkis Skandalidis. Aimilios Mirtsos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Vourkos in the 39th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alkis Skandalidis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aimilios Mirtsos. That made the score 3-1 in the 43 minute of play. Sofoklis Petridis took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aimilios Mirtsos. Aimilios Mirtsos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Themos Kostikos to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sphinari's goalkeeper Christoforos Labellis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alkis Skandalidis in the 55th minute of play forced ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's goalkeeper Aimilios Mirtsos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aimilios Mirtsos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Vourkos in the 56th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sphinari's zone, Filippos Makridakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christoforos Labellis came out of the goal and Filippos Makridakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sphinari getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Sofoklis Petridis hit a great ball. Aimilios Mirtsos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Vourkos in the 72nd minute of the match. Aimilios Mirtsos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kostas Vourkos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aimilios Mirtsos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alkis Skandalidis's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Aimilios Mirtsos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanos Tsaousidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Aimilios Mirtsos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alkis Skandalidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Alexis Sakallieros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sphinari the free kick. Alexis Sakallieros kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Veniamin Dokos made a precise shot to the right of Aimilios Mirtsos. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Iakovos Grigorakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sphinari's supporters rose to their feet, but Iakovos Grigorakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aimilios Mirtsos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
