The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Panos Mitropoulos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kostas Priovolos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Makis Loukakis having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Makis Leontakos in the 9th minute of play forced STENIKASTRO's goalkeeper Nikos Mitsakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thalis Kapetanopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Thalis Kapetanopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Telis Dourekas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. STENIKASTRO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limta the free kick. After 14 played minutes STENIKASTRO got a freekick which was hit by Telis Dourekas. Makis Loukakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panos Mitropoulos in the 17th minute. Vassilis Idrotidis was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. Nikos Mitsakos had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Nikitas Drytsakos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 31st minute, Spyros Vakrinos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes STENIKASTRO got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Priovolos. Thalis Kapetanopoulos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thalis Kapetanopoulos to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Limta's Makis Leontakos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikos Mitsakos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 56 played minutes STENIKASTRO got a freekick which was hit by Spyros Vakrinos. Makis Loukakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kostas Priovolos, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Christodoulos Tritsonis kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Kostas Priovolos made a precise shot to the right of Makis Loukakis. Limta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 67 minutes of play, STENIKASTRO's Kostas Priovolos made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Makis Loukakis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Panos Mitropoulos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Makis Loukakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kostas Priovolos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 79th minute, Kostas Priovolos made a precise shot to the right of Makis Loukakis. Limta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. STENIKASTRO's Kostas Priovolos got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fivos Papaggelatos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Makis Loukakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to STENIKASTRO getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Panos Mitropoulos hit a great ball. Kostas Priovolos took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Makis Loukakis. Makis Loukakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0.
