After 9 played minutes astrapi got a freekick which was hit by Stergios Kallitzakis. If Nontas Mouratos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikos Lianos's late challenge caught a astrapi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nikos Lianos helped the player get up and apologised. Nikos Lianos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, 孙宇洲 notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Panafpliakos FC's Miltos Seichanidis. Miltos Seichanidis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Neil Maddern managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Panafpliakos FC's Nontas Mouratos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The astrapi fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when astrapi's Valerios Batakis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Apostolis Iordanis kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Chrisostomos Prikourakis kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, Panafpliakos FC's Kyriakos Kanellopoulos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Neil Maddern was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute, Panafpliakos FC's Stavros Tsakanikas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Neil Maddern. Neil Maddern yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Valerios Batakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. astrapi's supporters rose to their feet, but Valerios Batakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miltos Seichanidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Valerios Batakis made the kick off in the second half. Miltos Seichanidis came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by astrapi's Valerios Batakis. But to his dismay, Valerios Batakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 60th match minute, astrapi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Spanakis to maneuver through the defense. Valerios Batakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Miltos Seichanidis made a huge save. When Stergios Kallitzakis came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the astrapi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stergios Kallitzakis couldn't finish the play. astrapi's Fivos Damianos was substituted for Kostas Spanakis. Chatziioannou Kokkinias charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chatziioannou Kokkinias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Chatziioannou Kokkinias hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Chatziioannou Kokkinias kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Stergios Kallitzakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miltos Seichanidis having to interfere. After 81 played minutes Dimitris Tzanetoulakos rounded Panafpliakos FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. Neil Maddern showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nontas Mouratos in the 87th minute of the match. Dimitris Tzanetoulakos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 played minutes Panafpliakos FC got a freekick which was hit by Apostolis Iordanis. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched astrapi eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
