A collision led to Layiwná BC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Panos Kassianidis hit a great ball. Soulis Koutsoudakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alekos Pirovolidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kleanthis Persidis kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Décio Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michalis Froussos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 played minutes Layiwná BC got a freekick which was hit by Charis Korellas. Décio Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takis Seremes in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Miltos Serelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Takis Seremes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Décio Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Kleanthis Persidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Layiwná BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kleanthis Persidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miltos Serelis in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Décio Pinto saved ALBANIA US from getting behind. Décio Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miltos Serelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Miltos Serelis made the kick off in the second half. Takis Seremes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The long shot by Sotos Daniilidis in the 54th minute really tested Décio Pinto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Décio Pinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kleanthis Persidis went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Décio Pinto made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Michalis Froussos sent off a good shot on target. If Miltos Serelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st match minute, ALBANIA US was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odysseas Moscholidis to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ALBANIA US's Gerasimos Tsouchtras got a free kick in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michalis Froussos got free with Décio Pinto in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Takis Seremes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Décio Pinto having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Layiwná BC got a freekick which was hit by Kleanthis Persidis. The audience was convinced that Miltos Serelis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Décio Pinto was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Miltos Serelis sped through ALBANIA US's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Décio Pinto. After 93 played minutes ALBANIA US got a freekick which was hit by Soulis Koutsoudakis. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Layiwná BC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
