Michalis Gazis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitris Katsanikos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Michalis Gazis firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dimitris Katsanikos took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Michalis Gazis. Miltos Mavrofidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikos Borbokis in the 43rd minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Lepνdhi FC's Giotis Skalidis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miltos Mavrofidis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nikos Borbokis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Lepνdhi FC's Nikolas Petrochilopoulos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Miltos Mavrofidis. That made the score 4-3 after 55 minutes of play. 58 minutes into the match, Lepνdhi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasios Kentikelenis came free, but Michalis Gazis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Rizareio booed when Lepνdhi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofilos Papagiannoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Uriel Illart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikos Borbokis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miltos Mavrofidis having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Stamatis Seretis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giotis Skalidis charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giotis Skalidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lepνdhi FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Giotis Skalidis hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match Marinos Zebetoglou shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michalis Gazis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. During the 80th minute of the match Giotis Skalidis completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Giotis Skalidis a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Lepνdhi FC's Michalis Gazis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasios Kentikelenis in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Rizareio getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Petros Karantonis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Katsanikos in the 90th minute of play forced Lepνdhi FC's goalkeeper Michalis Gazis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Lepνdhi FC defense, Dimitris Katsanikos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michalis Gazis. The Lepνdhi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michalis Gazis should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dimitris Katsanikos in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michalis Gazis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rizareio's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
