Gardhíkion FCas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zinon Lyberopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stathis Kaltsidis during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Marinos Giasemis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Décio Pinto, passed just outside the right post. When the final whistle went the supporters of Gardhíkion FCas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant ALBANIA US side.
