Byzantium F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vaggelis Egomitis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loukianos Poursanidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 3 minutes into the game, Marinos Georgiadis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patrida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Byzantium F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Patrida's Marinos Georgiadis got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 7th play minute Emmanouil Sidiropoulos came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dimitris Pantelis. 1-0. Loukianos Troupkos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dimitris Pantelis having to interfere. When Emmanouil Sidiropoulos came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Patrida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmanouil Sidiropoulos couldn't finish the play. Emmanouil Sidiropoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Dimitris Pantelis made a huge save. 16 minutes into the match, Byzantium F.C.'s goalkeeper Dimitris Pantelis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emmanouil Sidiropoulos. 20 minutes into the match, Patrida's goal looked a bit too open when Zacharias Verelis came free, but Loukianos Poursanidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zacharias Verelis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitris Pantelis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emmanouil Sidiropoulos went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the game, Loukianos Troupkos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dimitris Pantelis. Loukianos Troupkos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 40 minutes into the game, Panos Salepis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patrida's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Byzantium F.C. the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Patrida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Salepis to maneuver through the defense. Loukianos Poursanidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakis Georgakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Byzantium F.C.'s Dimitris Pantelis got control of the ball when Emmanouil Sidiropoulos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimitris Pantelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukianos Troupkos, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zacharias Verelis made a kick off. Loukianos Poursanidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacharias Verelis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 53 played minutes Patrida got a freekick which was hit by Panos Salepis. In the 54th minute, Patrida's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zacharias Verelis fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Sakis Georgakis came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Byzantium F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sakis Georgakis couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Byzantium F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Loukianos Troupkos came free, but Dimitris Pantelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Byzantium F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Emmanouil Sidiropoulos came free, but Dimitris Pantelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Patrida booed when Byzantium F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evripidis Martinelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panos Salepis kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Patrida's Emmanouil Sidiropoulos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitris Pantelis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Patrida. Emmanouil Sidiropoulos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dimitris Pantelis. 6-0. When Emmanouil Sidiropoulos came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Patrida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmanouil Sidiropoulos couldn't finish the play. When Patrida's Loukianos Troupkos in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Byzantium F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. When the referee ended the match the Patrida players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
