Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sokratis Tsarouchas kicked off to start the match. The supporters of PANATHINAIKOS FC booed when Voutiαnoi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panagiotis Papadakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerasimos Venoukas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 16 played minutes PANATHINAIKOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Makis Paragas. When Makis Paragas fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PANATHINAIKOS FC's protests and gave Makis Paragas a yellow card for diving instead. Makis Paragas hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, PANATHINAIKOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sokratis Tsarouchas came free, but Evaggelos Mirtsos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerasimos Venoukas in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Savas Someridis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gerasimos Venoukas managed to get in a good position for a shot. PANATHINAIKOS FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerasimos Venoukas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Savas Someridis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Gerasimos Venoukas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voutiαnoi's Savas Someridis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanos Karoulias in the 39th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerasimos Venoukas was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Voutiαnoi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Prokopeas to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Gerasimos Venoukas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanos Karoulias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Savas Someridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Christos Papageorgakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PANATHINAIKOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christos Papageorgakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded PANATHINAIKOS FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Voutiαnoi.
