The crowd rose to their feet as Greek Saints's Alesandro Del Piero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dimos Kolevas. That made the score 1-1 after 9 minutes of play. The throw-in from Christodoulos Tsouknidas in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Greek Saints's Christodoulos Lagonikakis. Benê de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fragiskos Papalexiou in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Iraklis Katergiannakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimos Kolevas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iraklis Katergiannakis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. With an all-out effort, Greek Saints's Dimos Kolevas threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alesandro Del Piero, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 27 played minutes Makríndos BC got a freekick which was hit by Christoforos Kasapoglou. In the 29th minute, Fanis Thanos made a precise shot to the right of Dimos Kolevas. Makríndos BC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alesandro Del Piero got free with Dimos Kolevas in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Makríndos BC's Dimos Kolevas got control of the ball when Fanis Thanos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Makríndos BC's Dimos Kolevas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alesandro Del Piero in the 37th minute of play. Greek Saints's Fanis Thanos came free and shot a quick shot against goal 38 minutes in the game, fortunately Dimos Kolevas had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After having played for 42 minutes, Fragiskos Papalexiou managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Makríndos BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fragiskos Papalexiou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alesandro Del Piero to make the kick off. In the 64th minute, Fragiskos Papalexiou made a precise shot to the right of Benê de Toledo. Greek Saints's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. After some careless play in the Makríndos BC defense, Koulis Bachramis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimos Kolevas. The Makríndos BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimos Kolevas should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Makríndos BC booed when Greek Saints was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Koulis Bachramis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Chrisostomos Riganidis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benê de Toledo was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. 78 minutes into the match, Alesandro Del Piero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dimos Kolevas. Makríndos BC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alesandro Del Piero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-3. 82 minutes into the match, Greek Saints's goal looked a bit too open when Stamatis Sifakis came free, but Benê de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alesandro Del Piero in the 86th minute of play forced Makríndos BC's goalkeeper Dimos Kolevas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Makríndos BC defense, Alesandro Del Piero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dimos Kolevas. The Makríndos BC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimos Kolevas should have stopped the shot.
