Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of EVOSMOS FC booed when PANATHINAIKOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christos Papageorgakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Theocharis Meletopoulos suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Vaggelis Roubanis charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vaggelis Roubanis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Vaggelis Roubanis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nikos Katsantonis kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Gerasimos Venoukas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes PANATHINAIKOS FC got a freekick which was hit by Gerasimos Venoukas. When EVOSMOS FC's Vaggelis Roubanis in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alexandros Igoumenakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christos Papageorgakis in the 46th minute of the match. Vaggelis Roubanis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Evaggelos Mirtsos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerasimos Venoukas made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinos Kastanias in the 52nd minute of play forced EVOSMOS FC's goalkeeper Alexandros Igoumenakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 62 minutes, Christos Papageorgakis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PANATHINAIKOS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christos Papageorgakis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the game, one of EVOSMOS FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for PANATHINAIKOS FC. Gerasimos Venoukas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alexandros Igoumenakis. 1-0. Alexandros Igoumenakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerasimos Venoukas in the 69th minute of the match. When Iason Kechagias fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PANATHINAIKOS FC's protests and gave Iason Kechagias a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Iason Kechagias got a free kick in the 71st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marinos Kastanias during the 72nd minute. Thanasis Pararas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, PANATHINAIKOS FC's Thanasis Pararas got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, PANATHINAIKOS FC could leave the field as winners, despite EVOSMOS FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
