The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Coldplayers M.D.V. Patras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vιrga FC:s goal. Eutichios Manolas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odysseas Giotos in the 11th minute of the match. Adamantios Dimatos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th match minute, Vιrga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zinon Martinakos to maneuver through the defense. Fondas Gitkos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Eutichios Manolas made a huge save. Eutichios Manolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odysseas Giotos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eutichios Manolas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odysseas Giotos in the 26th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Odysseas Giotos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eutichios Manolas. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Adamantios Dimatos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Chrisochoidis having to interfere. Coldplayers M.D.V. Patras's Vassilis Soufridis got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Coldplayers M.D.V. Patras's Eutichios Manolas got control of the ball when Fondas Gitkos tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adamantios Dimatos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Odysseas Giotos came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Vιrga FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Odysseas Giotos couldn't finish the play. Fondas Gitkos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eutichios Manolas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dimitris Stavrou hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Vιrga FC's Fondas Gitkos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eutichios Manolas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Adamantios Dimatos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coldplayers M.D.V. Patras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adamantios Dimatos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adamantios Dimatos in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petros Chrisochoidis saved Vιrga FC from getting behind. In the 71stth minute of the game Adamantios Dimatos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vιrga FC's Petros Chrisochoidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Odysseas Giotos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vassilis Soufridis hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Fondas Gitkos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 91 minutes into the game, Vιrga FC's Odysseas Giotos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eutichios Manolas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Vιrga FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Coldplayers M.D.V. Patras for much of the match.
