The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Vιrga FC's zone, Konstantinos Siontis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petros Chrisochoidis came out of the goal and Konstantinos Siontis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Odysseas Giotos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Miltos Glossopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miltos Glossopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fondas Gitkos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Super3's Apostolis Papadimakos in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vιrga FC's goalie prevented a goal. Miltos Glossopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fondas Gitkos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vιrga FC's Petros Chrisochoidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolis Papadimakos in the 35th minute of play. Petros Chrisochoidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Apostolis Papadimakos's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Odysseas Giotos was the one to do the kick off. Vιrga FC's Fondas Gitkos got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Super3's Aimilios Valassas got his second yellow card of the match in the 53rd minute. The referee ordered Aimilios Valassas off the ground. The supporters of Vιrga FC booed when Super3 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aimilios Valassas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Fondas Gitkos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vιrga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fondas Gitkos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miltos Glossopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miltos Glossopoulos came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Vιrga FC's Fondas Gitkos. But to his dismay, Fondas Gitkos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Miltos Glossopoulos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Odysseas Giotos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. Odysseas Giotos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 70th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Miltos Glossopoulos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Vιrga FC's Fondas Gitkos shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. If Odysseas Giotos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Odysseas Giotos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miltos Glossopoulos was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Fondas Gitkos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Fondas Gitkos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Vιrga FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
