The referee ignored INTERISTAS's protests and gave Mastur Bateman a yellow card for diving instead. Mastur Bateman hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Mastur Bateman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of INTERISTAS booed when Gate13 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achilleas Tsopelas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marinos Kandarakis charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Markos Konstantinidis managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTERISTAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Markos Konstantinidis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Babbis Kariotakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. INTERISTAS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Achilleas Tsopelas scored to the left of an out of position Petros Moustogiannis, making the score, 1-1. With 29 minutes on the clock, Nasos Droumalias commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mastur Bateman in the 37th minute of play forced Gate13's goalkeeper Babbis Kariotakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Achilleas Tsopelas hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 40th play minutes Mastur Bateman shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Babbis Kariotakis and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Gate13 getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Eutichios Botilias hit a great ball. After the first half INTERISTAS were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
