Sakis Peponis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 21 minutes into the match, JOLLYROGER's goal looked a bit too open when Loukas Kakitsis came free, but Sakis Peponis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Antonis Zotalis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTERISTAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonis Zotalis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, JOLLYROGER's goal looked a bit too open when Loukas Kakitsis came free, but Sakis Peponis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Paris Skandalidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakis Peponis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonis Zotalis, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonis Zotalis in the 37th minute of play forced JOLLYROGER's goalkeeper Sakis Peponis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, INTERISTAS's goalkeeper Petros Moustogiannis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Alexis.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Achilleas Spazokefalos to make the kick off. INTERISTAS's Petros Moustogiannis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Alexis in the 51st minute of play. Antonis Zotalis might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sakis Peponis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonis Zotalis ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, Grigoris Karameros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petros Moustogiannis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. With a little luck, JOLLYROGER's Sakis Peponis got control of the ball when Antonis Zotalis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Giannis Galanopoulos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sakis Peponis. The goal made the score 1-1. Zinon Liakopoulos hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Argyris Ouzounidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Moustogiannis having to interfere. In the 98th minute of the match, Antonis Zotalis got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sakis Peponis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
