The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Errikos Kokotoulis fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daseνa FC's protests and gave Errikos Kokotoulis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Daseνa FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Errikos Kokotoulis hit a great ball. After 13 minutes of play, INTERISTAS's Antonis Zotalis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Periklis Papadimos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute Loukas Kakitsis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Periklis Papadimos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Daseνa FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Stathis Kokkosalis hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Markos Konstantinidis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Periklis Papadimos was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. With a little luck, INTERISTAS's Petros Moustogiannis got control of the ball when Stathis Kokkosalis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Loukas Kakitsis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Periklis Papadimos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Periklis Papadimos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonis Zotalis's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. If Loukas Kakitsis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonis Zotalis in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Periklis Papadimos saved Daseνa FC from getting behind. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pantelis Laggizos was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Antonis Zotalis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INTERISTAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonis Zotalis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kyriakos Prokos during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kyriakos Prokos kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Periklis Papadimos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loukas Kakitsis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antonis Zotalis couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Antonis Zotalis managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTERISTAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonis Zotalis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Periklis Papadimos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daseνa FC's Pantelis Laggizos got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loukas Kakitsis in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Periklis Papadimos saved Daseνa FC from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonis Zotalis got free with Periklis Papadimos in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Antonis Zotalis managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTERISTAS's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonis Zotalis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Periklis Papadimos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Periklis Papadimos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukas Kakitsis, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for INTERISTAS! Antonis Zotalis in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Periklis Papadimos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Daseνa FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. INTERISTAS were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
