Spectators: 7440 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nektarios Servetiadis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Panos Koutras made in the 3rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alexis Kazatzis immediately put the ball in play. In the 6th minute, Aimilios Kostenoglou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With 10 minutes on the clock, Telis Ioannou commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 11th match minute, OLDHAM ATHLETIC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telis Ioannou to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Charis Savakis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and OLDHAM ATHLETIC's Alekos Lithopoulos didn't even have to move. After 13 played minutes OLDHAM ATHLETIC got a freekick which was hit by Charis Kaligas. The supporters of ANAGENISH booed when OLDHAM ATHLETIC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charilaos Bogris didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sakis Velatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimos Zagorakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 22 minutes, Louis Sardanis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ANAGENISH and the OLDHAM ATHLETIC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, ANAGENISH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Louis Sardanis to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Dimos Zagorakis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of ANAGENISH's Sakis Velatos. Sakis Velatos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Charilaos Bogris came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the OLDHAM ATHLETIC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charilaos Bogris couldn't finish the play. In the 35th minute, Charilaos Bogris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sakis Velatos made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Dimos Zagorakis sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Avraam Varsamis kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Charilaos Bogris charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charilaos Bogris the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Panos Koutras made in the 65th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aimilios Kostenoglou immediately put the ball in play. Sakis Velatos came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by OLDHAM ATHLETIC's Charilaos Bogris. But to his dismay, Charilaos Bogris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 87th minute, Charilaos Bogris got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aimilios Kostenoglou hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. A collision led to ANAGENISH getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Nektarios Servetiadis hit a great ball. In the 97th minute, Dimos Zagorakis made a precise shot to the right of Sakis Velatos. ANAGENISH's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the OLDHAM ATHLETIC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
