Panos Chelis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eustratios Symeonidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Pigasos fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miltos Kaliakoudis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Veniamin Zervoulakis was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Pigasos fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orestis Artemiou to maneuver through the defense. Pigasos fc's Miltos Kaliakoudis got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mihai Vătavu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miltos Kaliakoudis in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the game, Alekos Gazis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.O ASTERAS SYROY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pigasos fc the free kick. The supporters of Pigasos fc booed when A.O ASTERAS SYROY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alekos Gazis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Pigasos fc's goal looked a bit too open when Eustratios Symeonidis came free, but Panos Chelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panos Chelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veniamin Zervoulakis in the 67th minute of play. Pigasos fc's Panos Chelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veniamin Zervoulakis in the 86th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miltos Kaliakoudis got free with Mihai Vătavu in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
