Spectators: 6836 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Dimos Zagorakis got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charilaos Bogris in the 5th minute of play forced Frangádhes BC's goalkeeper Christos Zotalidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. OLDHAM ATHLETIC's Dimos Zagorakis got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Dimos Zagorakis put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Christos Zotalidis. Dimos Zagorakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Zotalidis having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Dimos Zagorakis made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Frangádhes BC's Christos Zotalidis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Giorgos Kafkalas managed to get in a good position for a shot. OLDHAM ATHLETIC's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Kafkalas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christos Zotalidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Dimos Zagorakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manos Psaltis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Christos Zotalidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Marinos Loubardeas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Frangádhes BC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Grigoris Katsikis hit a great ball. Charilaos Bogris might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christos Zotalidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charilaos Bogris ran back to his position shaking his head. After 44 played minutes OLDHAM ATHLETIC got a freekick which was hit by Telis Ioannou. After having played for 45 minutes, Giorgos Kanellopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frangádhes BC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giorgos Kanellopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Dimos Zagorakis had several of the Frangádhes BC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Christos Zotalidis as he didn't even see the shot coming. Dimos Zagorakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. OLDHAM ATHLETIC's Alekos Lithopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Kanellopoulos in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimos Zagorakis in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christos Zotalidis saved Frangádhes BC from getting behind. Giorgos Kafkalas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Zotalidis having to interfere. Dimos Zagorakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christos Zotalidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Thrasivoulos Xenopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Frangádhes BC got a freekick which was hit by Thrasivoulos Xenopoulos. Ignatios Vakrinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Frangádhes BC's Akis Zorbadelis got a free kick in the 75th minute. Thrasivoulos Xenopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes OLDHAM ATHLETIC got a freekick which was hit by Telis Ioannou. After a rather tough play, Frangádhes BC's Akis Zorbadelis got a free kick in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Dimos Zagorakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christos Zotalidis was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Ignatios Vakrinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dimos Zagorakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Zotalidis having to interfere. Manos Psaltis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christos Zotalidis having to interfere. Dimos Zagorakis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Christos Zotalidis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 96thth minute of the game Dimos Zagorakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Frangádhes BC's Christos Zotalidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
