The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But to his dismay, Balaban Haliloğlu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After 16 minutes, Panagiotis Nalbantis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Athletic Athens 2007 FC and the P.A.O.K FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of P.A.O.K FC booed when Athletic Athens 2007 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panagiotis Nalbantis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilson Paraíba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Michalis Papaefthimiou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Kafritzakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th of the match, Nilson Paraíba tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Iwan Januszewski got in the way and made a wonderful save. Michalis Papaefthimiou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexandros Kafritzakis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-1 in the 92 minute of play. In the 95thth minute of the game Nilson Paraíba who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Athletic Athens 2007 FC's Iwan Januszewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the P.A.O.K FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
