Spectators: 8458 (Terracing: 6344, Seating: 1945, VIP seats: 169) Geo United's Fragiskos Karaliopoulos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Geo United got a freekick which was hit by Thanasis Xidous. If Miltos Vourexakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Fragiskos Karaliopoulos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pantelis Kosmas. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Yousef El Arabi struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ermis Prasomouris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markos Theriaklis in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermis Prasomouris saved Geo United from getting behind. Ermis Prasomouris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yousef El Arabi in the 20th minute of play. Geo United's Ermis Prasomouris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yousef El Arabi in the 28th minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Mesta's Yousef El Arabi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ermis Prasomouris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Geo United's Kleon Karoubalos in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mesta's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kleon Karoubalos in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pantelis Kosmas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, Mesta's goalkeeper Pantelis Kosmas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fokas Spyropoulos. Fokas Spyropoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fokas Spyropoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Miltos Vourexakis came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Mesta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miltos Vourexakis couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yousef El Arabi made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Markos Theriaklis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ermis Prasomouris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pantelis Kosmas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Peponis in the 53rd minute of the match. Argyris Karagiannopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermis Prasomouris having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fragiskos Karaliopoulos in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pantelis Kosmas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, Kleon Karoubalos notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Mesta's Pantelis Kosmas. Pantelis Kosmas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yousef El Arabi kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 65thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Geo United's keeper Ermis Prasomouris was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Yousef El Arabis short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Ermis Prasomouris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 67th minute of the match, Miltos Vourexakis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ermis Prasomouris saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 73rd minute, Fokas Spyropoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mesta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Miltos Vourexakis in the 75th minute. The corner led Mesta's Miltos Vourexakis to fire away a dangerous shot which Ermis Prasomouris despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The attack was good, but when Markos Theriaklis in the 75th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Markos Theriaklis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pantelis Kosmas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petros Peponis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the game, Geo United's Fragiskos Karaliopoulos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pantelis Kosmas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Pantelis Kosmas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kleon Karoubalos in the 88th minute of play. After 88 played minutes Geo United got a freekick which was hit by Fokas Spyropoulos. After some careless play in the Mesta defense, Kleon Karoubalos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pantelis Kosmas. The Mesta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pantelis Kosmas should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Geo United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mesta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
