The corner led IRAKLIS's Alketas Kolliopoulos to fire away a dangerous shot which Stathis Georgatos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 9th minute of the match, Nikos Kipouros tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Stavros Kazantzatos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stathis Georgatos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miltiadis Liakos went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Stathis Georgatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltiadis Liakos in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, IRAKLIS's Chinomso Zelarayan got a free kick in the 18th minute. IRAKLIS's Stavros Kazantzatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhecho Grozdanov in the 19th minute of play. The IRAKLIS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stavros Kazantzatos should have stopped the shot. Stathis Georgatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tasos Samarakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, BPS F.C.'s Nikos Kipouros got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Chinomso Zelarayan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stathis Georgatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, IRAKLIS's Stavros Kazantzatos got control of the ball when Nikos Kipouros tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chinomso Zelarayan to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Stathis Georgatos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, BPS F.C.'s Kostas Katergiannakis got a free kick in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the match, BPS F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tasos Samarakos came free, but Stathis Georgatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stathis Georgatos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tasos Samarakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nikos Kipouros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stavros Kazantzatos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Chinomso Zelarayan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. IRAKLIS's Marinos Karanastasis was substituted for Chatziantoniou Asimis. Stathis Georgatos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chinomso Zelarayan in the 67th minute. Stathis Georgatos came out of the goal and Tasos Samarakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over IRAKLIS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BPS F.C. throughout the match.
