Pantelis Kosmas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theofilos Chronatos in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 19 minutes, Lakis Papafotopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lakis Papafotopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Markos Theriaklis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Ortle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Argyris Karagiannopoulos in the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Mesta booed when PAOK B was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefanos Ntountas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
