He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Geo United reached it. In the 6th minute, Kleon Karoubalos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geo United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. With a little luck, Geo United's Ermis Prasomouris got control of the ball when Norman Haiba tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Isidro Tuñon hit a great ball. Isidro Tuñon charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Tuñon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes AEK S.C got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Tuñon. In the 12th minute Aris Karantonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Hedström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Vicente Buinton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ermis Prasomouris. That made the score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. Vicente Buintons short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Ermis Prasomouris to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ermis Prasomouris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Kousas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, AEK S.C's Petros Karterouliotis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ermis Prasomouris. Ermis Prasomouris yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 38th match minute, Geo United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleon Karoubalos to maneuver through the defense.

The supporters of Geo United booed when AEK S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Haiba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Hedström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fragiskos Karaliopoulos in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Geo United's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Buinton came free, but Ermis Prasomouris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Geo United's Kleon Karoubalos in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AEK S.C's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kleon Karoubalos in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Hedström saved AEK S.C from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Buinton in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ermis Prasomouris prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
