The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Stamatis Nassiakos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. In the 16th minute, Stavros Voutsas made a precise shot to the right of Savas Ignatiou. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Savas Ignatiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stamatis Nassiakos in the 19th minute of play. Apostolikas Tsakiroglou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ntinos Kapotas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the game, Ignatios Bouzinekis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Siro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Αστέρας Δερβενίου the free kick. Ignatios Bouzinekis hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute Kosmas Kassianidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savas Ignatiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Savas Ignatiou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kosmas Kassianidis in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Theodosis Chronis during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 31 minutes into the match, Αστέρας Δερβενίου's goal looked a bit too open when Stavros Voutsas came free, but Savas Ignatiou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Savas Ignatiou didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kosmas Kassianidis went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute Stavros Voutsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savas Ignatiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Theodosis Chronis was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Chatziantoniou Skouras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Savas Ignatiou managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when San Siro's Giorgos Lagos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Paulinho Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Αστέρας Δερβενίου fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulinho Marquez couldn't finish the play. Apostolikas Tsakiroglou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ntinos Kapotas in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Lagos in the 65th minute of play forced Αστέρας Δερβενίου's goalkeeper Savas Ignatiou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 66 minutes into the game, Stavros Voutsas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Savas Ignatiou. Stavros Voutsas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Loukas Lazarellis kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of San Siro booed when Αστέρας Δερβενίου was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ntinos Kapotas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konstantinos Farmakatos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Savas Ignatiou. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ntinos Kapotas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Kosmas Kassianidis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Savas Ignatiou was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Αστέρας Δερβενίου's Savas Ignatiou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kosmas Kassianidis in the 83rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as San Siro's Nikitas Brizolakos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Savas Ignatiou. That made the score 0-6 after 84 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Αστέρας Δερβενίου defense, Babbis Tsochos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Savas Ignatiou. The Αστέρας Δερβενίου fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Savas Ignatiou should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute Stavros Voutsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Savas Ignatiou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded San Siro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Αστέρας Δερβενίου.
