Kleanthis Koumentakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marios Natsouras in the 11th minute. Nasos Tsionas in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kleanthis Koumentakis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 21 minutes into the match, Panthiseiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Lembit Lutsar came free, but Kleanthis Koumentakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kleanthis Koumentakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marios Natsouras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stratos Vogiatzis came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Panthiseiakos's Fragiskos Skrekis. But to his dismay, Fragiskos Skrekis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Panthiseiakos getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Leonardo Pernambucano hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Panthiseiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Lembit Lutsar came free, but Kleanthis Koumentakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Panthiseiakos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Markos Kopsidas took the corner. The corner led Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ's Markos Kopsidas to fire away a dangerous shot which Kleanthis Koumentakis despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Chatziantoniou Konstantinidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kleanthis Koumentakis acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Markos Kopsidas. The crowd rose to their feet as Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ's Lembit Lutsar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kleanthis Koumentakis. That made the score 1-1 after 35 minutes of play. Panthiseiakos's Loukas Alevizos got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, Panthiseiakos's Julius Delcroix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stratos Vogiatzis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fragiskos Skrekis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fragiskos Skrekis struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Stratos Vogiatzis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panthiseiakos. Loukas Alevizos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Stratos Vogiatzis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Stratos Vogiatzis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julius Delcroix in the 57th minute. If Fragiskos Skrekis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Konstantinos Galanopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Loukas Alevizos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Stratos Vogiatzis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Stratos Vogiatzis managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Panthiseiakos's Loukas Alevizos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 72 minutes into the match, Panthiseiakos's goal looked a bit too open when Nasos Tsionas came free, but Kleanthis Koumentakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julius Delcroix got free with Stratos Vogiatzis in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Panthiseiakos booed when Π.Α.Ο.ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΕΩΣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marios Natsouras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stratos Vogiatzis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fragiskos Skrekis, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The Panthiseiakos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Panthiseiakos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
