Dimitris Koborozos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julius Delcroix, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Dimitris Koborozos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Smolarek in the 7th minute of play. Dimitris Koborozos came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Panthiseiakos's Julius Delcroix. But to his dismay, Julius Delcroix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 20th match minute, VARDA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giotis Louvaris to maneuver through the defense. Dimitris Koborozos came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Panthiseiakos's Leonardo Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Leonardo Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. VARDA F.C.'s Dimitris Koborozos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukas Alevizos in the 25th minute of play. Panthiseiakos's Kleanthis Koumentakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Panthiseiakos from getting a goal against them. When VARDA F.C.'s Nico Williams in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Andrei Izbașa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Panthiseiakos booed when VARDA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Izbașa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The VARDA F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panthiseiakos were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fragiskos Skrekis to make the kick off. A collision led to Panthiseiakos getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Fragiskos Skrekis hit a great ball. In the 54th minute, Panthiseiakos's Fragiskos Skrekis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dimitris Koborozos. Kleanthis Koumentakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalmo Braga went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Dimitris Koborozos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julius Delcroix in the 61st minute. In the 70th minute of the match, Loukas Alevizos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dimitris Koborozos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Williams in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kleanthis Koumentakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Panthiseiakos getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Kleanthis Koumentakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nico Williams's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Kleanthis Koumentakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Williams, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When VARDA F.C.'s Nico Williams in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Panthiseiakos's goalie prevented a goal. Grigoris Papachristoulis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, VARDA F.C.'s Cássio Valadares got a free kick in the 87th minute. Dimitris Koborozos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julius Delcroix in the 92nd minute. The Panthiseiakos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Panthiseiakos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
