With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chris Hommertgen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, katsaroni fc's goal looked a bit too open when Thodoris Loubakis came free, but Chris Hommertgen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Hommertgen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thodoris Loubakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kostas Fasoulis in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chris Hommertgen saved katsaroni fc from getting behind. After a rather tough play, katsaroni fc's Akakios Chatzievaggellou got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 38 played minutes Xarilaou FC got a freekick which was hit by Christodoulos Troglis. In the 41st minute Kostas Fasoulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chris Hommertgen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes katsaroni fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fanis Skaltsas who took care of the corner kick. If Kostas Fasoulis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

During the 54th minute of the match Akakios Chatzievaggellou completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Chris Hommertgen as he didn't even see the shot coming. Chris Hommertgen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thodoris Loubakis in the 64th minute of play. Kent Lindholm kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Thodoris Loubakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Xarilaou FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Chris Hommertgen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thodoris Loubakis's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, katsaroni fc's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Fasoulis came free, but Chris Hommertgen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Hommertgen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kostas Fasoulis in the 73rd minute of play. If Alekos Koentas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. With his leg Chris Hommertgen managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Xarilaou FC's Thodoris Loubakis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of katsaroni fc booed when Xarilaou FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Themis Efthimidis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Xarilaou FC's Kostas Fasoulis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7.
