With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dimitris Vamvakousis in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kleon Tsoutsikas saved Εθνικός Αστέρας from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aleksandar Špoljarić got free with Vassilis Kakkos in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kleon Tsoutsikas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitris Vamvakousis in the 34th minute of play. THUNDER FC were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Εθνικός Αστέρας's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roberto Mouzo took the corner. The corner led THUNDER FC's Yakov Zinovev to fire away a dangerous shot which Kleon Tsoutsikas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With his leg Vassilis Kakkos managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Εθνικός Αστέρας's Babbis Dermitzakis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Reynaldo Pinos kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Vassilis Kakkos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleksandar Špoljarić in the 39th minute. Vassilis Kakkos was a little too slow when Aleksandar Špoljarić got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. Vladimiros Klapanaras hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. THUNDER FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
