An unexpectedly hard shot by Giannis Kazatzis in the 23rd minute of play forced rock's goalkeeper Luis Laurendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Giannis Kazatzis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Filippo Basse came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the rock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filippo Basse couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute Giannis Kazatzis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Laurendi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Olof Löfkvist to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Odysseas Voutsas in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timos Karagiorgos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by AEK Lamia club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Odysseas Voutsas was slow to take the kick. During this time rock's players had a chance to rest. If Miltos Skarbatonis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kyriakos Nikolatos charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kyriakos Nikolatos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Kyriakos Nikolatos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute of the match rock got a corner. AEK Lamia club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Odysseas Voutsas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Odysseas Voutsas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Timos Karagiorgos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Viktoras Mavrakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Laurendi having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Jan-Olof Löfkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
