Miltos Skarbatonis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sokratis Grigoroulis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, AEK Lamia club's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Skilopnichtis came free, but Timos Karagiorgos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The tension between the AEK Lamia club and the ARXIPAPATZHS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ARXIPAPATZHS FC booed when AEK Lamia club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manolis Karaiskakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Viktoras Mavrakis notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ARXIPAPATZHS FC's Sokratis Grigoroulis. Sokratis Grigoroulis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Menios Missiakos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Timos Karagiorgos made a huge save. In the 37th minute, Giannis Kazatzis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AEK Lamia club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 40 minutes, Kostas Psaltis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ARXIPAPATZHS FC and the AEK Lamia club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Viktoras Mavrakis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Timos Karagiorgos came out of the goal and Menios Missiakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Menios Missiakos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Timos Karagiorgos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kostas Skilopnichtis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AEK Lamia club's zone, Menios Missiakos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timos Karagiorgos came out of the goal and Menios Missiakos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 72 in the game by Giannis Kazatzis from a close distance when the talented Sokratis Grigoroulis managed to make a qualified save. ARXIPAPATZHS FC's players were relieved. Sokratis Grigoroulis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manolis Karaiskakis in the 77th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Menios Missiakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARXIPAPATZHS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Menios Missiakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
