An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksandar Špoljarić in the 13th minute of play forced ARXIPAPATZHS FC's goalkeeper Sokratis Grigoroulis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sokratis Grigoroulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksandar Špoljarić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Εθνικός Αστέρας was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Savas Tsioridis to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Menios Missiakos in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kleon Tsoutsikas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ARXIPAPATZHS FC's Sokratis Grigoroulis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save ARXIPAPATZHS FC from getting a goal against them. Sokratis Grigoroulis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aleksandar Špoljarić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Menios Missiakos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boland McJohn made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Εθνικός Αστέρας's goal looked a bit too open when Kostas Skilopnichtis came free, but Kleon Tsoutsikas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ARXIPAPATZHS FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Fondas Karavidas hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Εθνικός Αστέρας's Aleksandar Špoljarić nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sokratis Grigoroulis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Sokratis Grigoroulis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boland McJohn, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
