Odysseas Lazaroglou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Dimitris Michopoulos made a huge save. In the 31st minute, AEK KAVALAS FC's Odysseas Lazaroglou ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dimitris Michopoulos. Dimitris Michopoulos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Odysseas Lazaroglou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olympiacos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nivaldo Aleixo in the 86th minute. After taking down the ball on Olympiacos FC's corner Nivaldo Aleixo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stelios Melas quite easily take care of the ball. Dimitris Michopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odysseas Lazaroglou in the 88th minute of play. AEK KAVALAS FC's Emil Giurcă quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nivaldo Aleixo, made in the 89th minute of the game. If Odysseas Lazaroglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Takis Rodostoglou kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match.
