Thibaut Courtois made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 6th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Corrigan in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thibaut Courtois saved Tabachana F.C. from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Tabachana F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Themos Leontiadis came free, but Thibaut Courtois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tabachana F.C.'s zone, Themos Leontiadis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thibaut Courtois came out of the goal and Themos Leontiadis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Makis Kois kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Themos Leontiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 20th minute of play forced Tabachana F.C.'s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute Allan Corrigan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goalkeeper Erik Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vassilis Tournas. Themos Leontiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thibaut Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 31st minute of the match. Thibaut Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Kostas Toskas lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thibaut Courtois showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tabachana F.C.'s Thibaut Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Corrigan in the 41st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Themos Leontiadis in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thibaut Courtois prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thodoris Petalidis hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tabachana F.C.'s Makis Kois got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half Panionios MK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Themos Leontiadis was the one to do the kick off. Allan Corrigan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Thibaut Courtois when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Panionios MK's Erik Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Idrotoglou in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Allan Corrigan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Themos Leontiadis in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thibaut Courtois saved Tabachana F.C. from getting behind. If Themos Leontiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thibaut Courtois made an important save on a dangerous shot by Themos Leontiadis in the 70th minute. 71 minutes in the game Makis Kois did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Efthimis Stamatiadis. Themos Leontiadis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thodoris Petalidis in the 78th minute of play forced Tabachana F.C.'s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Themos Leontiadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thibaut Courtois stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Themos Leontiadis's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Panos Pachopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Tabachana F.C.'s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allan Corrigan. Panionios MK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
