Panos Ntountas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Prokopis Monokrousos having to make a save. Prokopis Monokrousos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panos Ntountas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Ntountas in the 23rd minute of play forced Sireos FC's goalkeeper Prokopis Monokrousos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prokopis Monokrousos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Ntountas in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Panos Ntountas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panos Ntountas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Prokopis Monokrousos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimitris Koudas in the 58th minute of the match. Sakis Paragioudakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Prokopis Monokrousos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sakis Paragioudakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Olympiacos FC's Panos Ntountas got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sireos FC booed when Olympiacos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitris Koudas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Konstantinos Meletiou hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Olympiacos FC's zone, Şansal Can stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Kousoulakis came out of the goal and Şansal Can tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sireos FC's goalkeeper Prokopis Monokrousos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Sireos FC defense, Panos Ntountas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prokopis Monokrousos. The Sireos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prokopis Monokrousos should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Vieri got free with Andreas Kousoulakis in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olympiacos FC's Andreas Kousoulakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Olympiacos FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Olympiacos FC's Sakis Paragioudakis got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Paolo Bilintx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Kousoulakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Olympiacos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Ntountas to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Olympiacos FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Sireos FC for much of the match.
