AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Ajax from getting a goal against them. A beautiful save bye AFC Ajax's goalie prevented a goal. José Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markos Seremetidis in the 11th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexis Alexandris got free with Akis Sarafis in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis got control of the ball when Walter Giardino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, AFC Ajax's Thalis Karteris got a free kick in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter Giardino in the 23rd minute of play forced AFC Ajax's goalkeeper Akis Sarafis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Giardino in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Akis Sarafis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. tHe SOnS of rAGnar's Karl-Åke Norling was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Akis Sarafis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 44th minute Markos Seremetidis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

AFC Ajax's Bob Marley was substituted for Markos Seremetidis. tHe SOnS of rAGnar made a substitution. Ulysses Matorin replaced Grigoris Kornaros. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walter Giardino made a kick off. In the 58th minute Walter Giardino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Akis Sarafis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Sá made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Michelangelo Merganiotis sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the game, Alexis Alexandris cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Akis Sarafis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. tHe SOnS of rAGnar made a substitution. Antonis Kardaris replaced Kosmas Salaminiotis. AFC Ajax made a substitution. Kyriakos Seremetis replaced Thalis Karteris. Thanks to some nice moves Michelangelo Merganiotis could shoot a difficult shot in the 69th minute, which José Sá however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Michelangelo Merganiotis took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for José Sá to make any attempt to save it. AFC Ajax's Akis Sarafis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walter Giardino in the 76th minute of play. Bob Marley hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Akis Sarafis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eskil Möllgren in the 78th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Bob Marley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Sá came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Ajax's Bob Marley. But to his dismay, Bob Marley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Akis Sarafis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eskil Möllgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Alexis Alexandris scored 3-3 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Akis Sarafis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bob Marley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the tHe SOnS of rAGnar defense, Bob Marley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Sá. The tHe SOnS of rAGnar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Sá should have stopped the shot.
