Spectators: 7659 (Terracing: 5746, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joakim Virtanen started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Kurunpää FC's zone, Antto Vähäsavo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kosti Pihlanen came out of the goal and Antto Vähäsavo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kosti Pihlanen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joakim Virtanen's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Markus Virkkunen notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ruoska's Teuvo Pärssinen. Teuvo Pärssinen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 11 played minutes Kurunpää FC got a freekick which was hit by Markus Virkkunen. In the 17th minute, Launo Hanninen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Ruoska's goal looked a bit too open when Kustaa Andersson came free, but Teuvo Pärssinen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kosti Pihlanen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joakim Virtanen in the 21st minute. Päiviö Wesslin was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Ruoska:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kurunpää FC:s goal. The referee gave Kurunpää FC a penalty, 24 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tarmo Andersson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ruoska's Teuvo Pärssinen. 0-2. Ats Purje sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antto Vähäsavo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kosti Pihlanen having to interfere. Ruoska's Tahvo Dahlman got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Kurunpää FC's goalkeeper Kosti Pihlanen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tahvo Dahlman. Kosti Pihlanen was a little too slow when Tahvo Dahlman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-2. Kosti Pihlanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valtteri Meriläinen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute of the game, Ats Purje landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Antto Vähäsavo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kosti Pihlanen having to interfere. If Valtteri Meriläinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jarkko Rovio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kosti Pihlanen was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Katila in the 48th minute of play forced Kurunpää FC's goalkeeper Kosti Pihlanen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Ruoska players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kurunpää FC were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timo Ahosmäki made a kick off. Kurunpää FC's Kosti Pihlanen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarkko Rovio in the 53rd minute of play. Kosti Pihlanen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jarkko Rovio, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Kosti Pihlanen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tahvo Dahlman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jarkko Rovio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarkko Rovio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Kosti Pihlanen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ruoska booed when Kurunpää FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harri Salmi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Ruoska's Tahvo Dahlman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kosti Pihlanen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Valtteri Meriläinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Kurunpää FC booed when Ruoska was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antto Vähäsavo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Kurunpää FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tahvo Dahlman came free, but Kosti Pihlanen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kurunpää FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Valtteri Meriläinen was slow to take the kick. During this time Ruoska's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Valtteri Meriläinen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Kosti Pihlanen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 80th minute Tahvo Dahlman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kosti Pihlanen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Valtteri Meriläinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niklas Katila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Tahvo Dahlman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ruoska's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tahvo Dahlman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarkko Rovio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
