In the 16th minute Ivan Stephansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hannu Möksy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. László Pethő hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Otso Myllykoski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pekka Vilmunen in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Red Devils FC's goalkeeper Otso Myllykoski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pekka Vilmunen. 26 minutes into the game, Jeremias Koivisto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hannu Möksy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pauli Vihko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Otso Myllykoski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pekka Vilmunen's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Ulversö IFK's attentive Teppo Kamppunen managed to snatch the ball when Urpo Strömberg made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 48th match minute, Ulversö IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teppo Kamppunen to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Red Devils FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Pekka Vilmunen made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pauli Vihko in the 52nd minute of play forced Red Devils FC's goalkeeper Otso Myllykoski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd minute Pekka Vilmunen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otso Myllykoski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lauri Uusikartano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Otso Myllykoski having to make a save. When Karri Berg fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Devils FC's protests and gave Karri Berg a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Red Devils FC got a freekick which was hit by Karri Berg. Teppo Kamppunen didn't quite understand what happened when in the 59 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Hannu Möksy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aadolf Tuomainen in the 67th minute of the match. Otso Myllykoski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauri Uusikartano, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Aadolf Tuomainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Aadolf Tuomainen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Devils FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aadolf Tuomainen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Koivisto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hannu Möksy having to interfere. 81 minutes in the game, Aadolf Tuomainen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hannu Möksy having to interfere. Taavi Kultanen lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Ulversö IFK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Red Devils FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Red Devils FC's Jeremias Koivisto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hannu Möksy. Teppo Kamppunen charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teppo Kamppunen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Teppo Kamppunen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pauli Vihko's late challenge caught a Red Devils FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pauli Vihko helped the player get up and apologised. Pauli Vihko hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. If Aadolf Tuomainen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Red Devils FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
