The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, Viemerö's Hemminki Takala made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hemminki Takala hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Viemerö's Terho Heliskoski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Viemerö from getting a goal against them. 21 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Uusikartano came free, but Leo Timonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keimo Järvinen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd match minute, Viemerö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaakob Peteri to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Uusikartano in the 34th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Leo Timonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Liverpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Uusikartano came free, but Leo Timonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Niklas Uusikartano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Timonen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Niklas Uusikartano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Leo Timonen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Iisakki Salmela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liverpool FC and the Viemerö players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Matias Viitaluoma put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Liverpool FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keimo Järvinen made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Viemerö's goalkeeper Terho Heliskoski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Pekko Nutikka threw the ball into play from the sideline. Liverpool FC's Iisakki Salmela quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Keimo Järvinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atro Nikander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Leo Timonen made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Viemerö's Hemminki Takala ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leo Timonen. Leo Timonen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. Jaakob Peteri hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Terho Heliskoski didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Liverpool FC's Keimo Järvinen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Leo Timonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Uusikartano in the 69th minute of the match. Atro Nikander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leo Timonen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Roni Hirvonen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Leo Timonen made a huge save. A very good chance. Leo Timonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Uusikartano in the 82nd minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Keimo Järvinen notched a goal, 4-5, to the right of Viemerö's Terho Heliskoski. Terho Heliskoski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 90 played minutes Viemerö got a freekick which was hit by Atro Nikander. After a defensive mix-up in Viemerö's zone, Keimo Järvinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terho Heliskoski came out of the goal and Keimo Järvinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keimo Järvinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Terho Heliskoski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Viemerö eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
