When Taneli Modig fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Burgundi's protests and gave Taneli Modig a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fc Burgundi getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Taneli Modig hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Toni Hiltunen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fc Burgundi's Niklas Kaikkonen didn't even have to move. Visa Nevanlinna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Kaikkonen having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Verneri Vestman in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niklas Kaikkonen saved Fc Burgundi from getting behind.

The wind increased when Verneri Vestman made the kick off in the second half. Niklas Kaikkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Visa Nevanlinna in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 57 minutes, Visa Nevanlinna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tallaa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Visa Nevanlinna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fc Burgundi's Niklas Kaikkonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verneri Vestman in the 59th minute of play. In the 64th minute, Visa Nevanlinna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Tallaa's Verneri Vestman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niklas Kaikkonen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute Visa Nevanlinna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Kaikkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Tallaa got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Kuokkanen. Toni Hiltunen kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 80 minutes, Mikko Kuparinen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fc Burgundi and the Tallaa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Niklas Kaikkonen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Fc Burgundi's Joona Kivimäki in the 94th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Atso Ojansuu was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Tallaa through an amazing save. Tallaa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
