The audience was convinced that Grant Gavin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raine Teräs was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The supporters of LRiemu booed when Perkkiönperä was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Koivu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aki Vuorinen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raine Teräs having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 49 minutes, Grant Gavin put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Raine Teräs. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Pekko Kokko made the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, LRiemu's goal looked a bit too open when Aki Vuorinen came free, but Raine Teräs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 minutes of play, Perkkiönperä's Grant Gavin made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raine Teräs was left in no man's land by his defense there! Grant Gavin struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Raine Teräs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perkkiönperä. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aki Vuorinen in the 95th minute of play forced LRiemu's goalkeeper Raine Teräs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perkkiönperä's Grant Gavin got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The LRiemu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Perkkiönperä were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
