If Samuli Valin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mämmenkylä IFK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Kontioniemi IFK. Matti Siltanen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juha-Pekka Esala. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Mämmenkylä IFK's zone, Samuli Valin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juha-Pekka Esala came out of the goal and Samuli Valin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juha-Pekka Esala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petruț Coman's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Mämmenkylä IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Petruț Coman came free, but Juha-Pekka Esala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Petruț Coman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juha-Pekka Esala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mämmenkylä IFK's Juha-Pekka Esala proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Mämmenkylä IFK from getting a goal against them. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petruț Coman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Turkka Lahtela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Alin, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Petruț Coman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Launo Riippa's late challenge caught a Kontioniemi IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Launo Riippa helped the player get up and apologised. Launo Riippa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Petruț Coman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mämmenkylä IFK's Juha-Pekka Esala was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petruț Coman in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juha-Pekka Esala prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 71 minutes, Karri Sainio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kontioniemi IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karri Sainio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juha-Pekka Esala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petruț Coman's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mämmenkylä IFK's goalkeeper Juha-Pekka Esala, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 84 minutes, Petruț Coman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kontioniemi IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Petruț Coman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karri Sainio in the 85th minute of play forced Mämmenkylä IFK's goalkeeper Juha-Pekka Esala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mämmenkylä IFK's Juha-Pekka Esala played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petruț Coman in the 86th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Karri Sainio notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Mämmenkylä IFK's Juha-Pekka Esala. Juha-Pekka Esala was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Kontioniemi IFK's Petruț Coman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juha-Pekka Esala made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Kontioniemi IFK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
