Kahvapallo's Joakim Voutilainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santeri Hannula in the 4th minute of play. Tolkkinen IFK's Aarto Hirvonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Tolkkinen IFK from getting a goal against them. After having played for 9 minutes, Miikka Kattilakoski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kahvapallo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miikka Kattilakoski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Miikka Kattilakoski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Aarto Hirvonen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santeri Hannula struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Joakim Voutilainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tolkkinen IFK. In the 28th minute, Santeri Hannula left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tolkkinen IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Joakim Voutilainen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santeri Hannula in the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Nummelin in the 37th minute of play forced Kahvapallo's goalkeeper Joakim Voutilainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Nummelin in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joakim Voutilainen saved Kahvapallo from getting behind. Miikka Kattilakoski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Aarto Hirvonen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miikka Kattilakoski made a kick off. Kahvapallo's Miikka Kattilakoski got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santeri Hannula came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joakim Voutilainen could save by the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Tolkkinen IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Miikka Kattilakoski came free, but Aarto Hirvonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aarto Hirvonen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miikka Kattilakoski's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Aarto Hirvonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iikka Kaarniemi in the 61st minute of play. Daniel Nummelin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Voutilainen having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Pasi Häkkinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daniel Nummelin came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Tolkkinen IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Nummelin couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tolkkinen IFK's goalkeeper Aarto Hirvonen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Kahvapallo's Joakim Voutilainen got control of the ball when Santeri Hannula tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kahvapallo's Otso Ripatti suffered a sore thigh after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Daniel Nummelin fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tolkkinen IFK's protests and gave Daniel Nummelin a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Tolkkinen IFK got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Nummelin. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Miikka Kattilakoski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kahvapallo's supporters rose to their feet, but Miikka Kattilakoski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aarto Hirvonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miikka Kattilakoski scored 2-1 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aarto Hirvonen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Kahvapallo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Hemmo Konttila hit a great ball. Santeri Hannula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Voutilainen having to interfere. If Daniel Nummelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Kahvapallo's zone, Daniel Nummelin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joakim Voutilainen came out of the goal and Daniel Nummelin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kahvapallo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
