Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) Jani Uusipaavalniemi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Kosti Koivula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 6th minute, Lasse Huppunen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute Marko Kantola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Lahtela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lasse Lahtela came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Kalaholman pallo's Marko Kantola. But to his dismay, Marko Kantola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Vikings's Lasse Lahtela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kosti Koivula in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Sami Koskela. 23 minutes into the game, Kosti Koivula cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Lasse Lahtela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th match minute, Kalaholman pallo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vesa Penttilä to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uolevi Niskala in the 26th minute of play forced Kalaholman pallo's goalkeeper Kullervo Ristolainen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lasse Lahtela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Kantola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lasse Lahtela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kosti Koivula in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marko Kantola in the 33rd minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Lasse Lahtela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Marko Kantola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Lahtela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kosti Koivula in the 48th minute of play forced Vikings's goalkeeper Lasse Lahtela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kosti Koivula stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 69th minute Marko Kantola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lasse Lahtela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ari Ukkonen hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, Antti Numminen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kullervo Ristolainen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roope Katila, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Lasse Lahtela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Kantola in the 85th minute of the match. Kalaholman pallo's Kullervo Ristolainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uolevi Niskala in the 92nd minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Kalaholman pallo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vikings.
