Olli Uusiniemi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niilo Oravainen in the 4th minute. Konstantin Hakamäki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santeri Kaikkonen in the 6th minute of play. Niilo Oravainen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Olli Uusiniemi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Konstantin Hakamäki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petri Markkula in the 17th minute of the match. Olli Uusiniemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikko Litmanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 20th match minute, Strömbacken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eino Harikkala to maneuver through the defense. When Rauno Huhtiniemi came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Arkkukari IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rauno Huhtiniemi couldn't finish the play. Olli Uusiniemi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikko Litmanen in the 23rd minute of play. Petri Markkula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Konstantin Hakamäki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Petri Markkula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Hakamäki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janne Joenväärä hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Konstantin Hakamäki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santeri Kaikkonen in the 36th minute of play. Konstantin Hakamäki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petri Markkula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santeri Kaikkonen made a kick off. Santeri Kaikkonen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petri Markkula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Konstantin Hakamäki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, Strömbacken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santeri Kaikkonen to maneuver through the defense. Ilmo Leonoff hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Petri Markkula notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Arkkukari IFK's Konstantin Hakamäki. Konstantin Hakamäki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petri Markkulas short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Konstantin Hakamäki to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Santeri Kaikkonen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Niilo Oravainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arkkukari IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Niilo Oravainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olli Uusiniemi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 81 played minutes Strömbacken got a freekick which was hit by Reino Latvanen. When Arkkukari IFK's Mikko Litmanen, in the 82nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Arkkukari IFK. After a rather tough play, Strömbacken's Kosti Haapala got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute Niilo Oravainen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olli Uusiniemi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niilo Oravainen scored 1-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olli Uusiniemi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Arkkukari IFK getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Patrik Jantunen hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Niilo Oravainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arkkukari IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Niilo Oravainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olli Uusiniemi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
