Joni Lähitie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th match minute, Katajamäki IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arto Kurri to maneuver through the defense. Ossi Seva sent off a fantastic shot from long distance in the 25th minute of the match, a shot that made Joni Lähitie throw himself in all his length to reach the ball for the save just at the upper right corner. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miikka Nielikäinen to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ossi Seva couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Katajamäki IFK's zone, Miikka Nielikäinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joni Lähitie came out of the goal and Miikka Nielikäinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st match minute, Katajamäki IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erno Reponen to maneuver through the defense. Joni Lähitie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ossi Seva in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Niko Mikkonen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anssi Markkanen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Pello Sport Club's Anssi Markkanen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Pello Sport Club from getting a goal against them. Miikka Nielikäinen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the last second Anssi Markkanen throw himself and got hold of the ball when Turo Koivuporras in the 81stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Miikka Nielikäinen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Katajamäki IFK got a freekick which was hit by Niko Mikkonen. In the 92nd minute of the match, Turo Koivuporras tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Anssi Markkanen saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
