With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kustaa Lahikainen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the match, ST. MICHEL's goalkeeper Kustaa Lahikainen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timo Strömberg. 13 minutes into the match, Aarno Möksy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kustaa Lahikainen, 2-0. Aarno Möksy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Kustaa Lahikainen made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Aarne Puhakainen managed to get in a good position for a shot. ST. MICHEL's supporters rose to their feet, but Aarne Puhakainen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuli Timmonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miko Myllylä fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kustaa Lahikainen having to interfere.
