Diamonds's Aapo Myllys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikko Pyörälä in the 3rd minute of play. Uoti Pisto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Tuomas Valtonen made a huge save. Uoti Pisto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the game, Mikko Pyörälä cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Aapo Myllys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 21 minutes, Nikolai Pietikäinen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diamonds and the drooper players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eemeli Marttinen struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Aapo Myllys didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for drooper. 23 minutes into the game, Mikko Pyörälä cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Aapo Myllys was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eemeli Marttinen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Aapo Myllys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, drooper's Eemeli Marttinen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aapo Myllys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Mikko Pyörälä made a precise shot to the right of Aapo Myllys. Diamonds's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 40th minute Mikko Pyörälä shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aapo Myllys saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute, Eemeli Marttinen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aapo Myllys was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. When Eemeli Marttinen came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the drooper fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eemeli Marttinen couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Diamonds's goal looked a bit too open when Mikko Pyörälä came free, but Aapo Myllys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Diamonds's Aapo Myllys got control of the ball when Eemeli Marttinen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eemeli Marttinen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Aapo Myllys when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Diamonds getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Asko Korpisalo hit a great ball. After 84 played minutes drooper got a freekick which was hit by Mikko Pyörälä. In the 88th minute of the match Leevi Harjanne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aapo Myllys showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. drooper's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
